The Chickstarter, founded by former model Andrea Horblitt in 2009, creates innovative products for chicks and helps women become entrepreneurs, making their ideas a reality.
Today the female-focused company unveils its new website, making it easier than ever for women to share their ideas and work with the Chickstarter to get more amazing chick products on the shelves.
Andrea Horblitt has always been an inventor and entrepreneur, wanting to create products for women that she found a need for in her own day-to-day, but she faced many obstacles when it came to making her ideas into products. “Lots of men have held me up in business and not taken my ideas seriously,” says Horblitt. “I decided to open it up to other women a few years ago, rather than just creating products for chicks myself, I wanted to create a system where women could submit their ideas and I could use the resources and expertise I’ve gained to help bring them to market, allowing today’s aspiring female entrepreneurs to bypass the hurdles I had faced.”
The redesigned site makes it easy to submit an idea and outlines the Chickstarter’s process used to review all submissions, protecting the creator’s property, gauging interest and feasibility before formally partnering and launching the product. The new site also features Andrea’s advice and resources for aspiring female entrepreneurs.
Additionally, The Chickstarter’s complete line of products, including Don’t Break Your Diet, Hair Glam Pro, Sukitz and many more will be available to the public through the site within the next six months, www.thechickstarter.com .
“The Chickstarter is all about empowering women to create products for women. It’s a business sisterhood!”
